The Walking Group meets weekly for a 45-60 minute walk around the Edmonton Southside PCN’s neighbourhood. Meet up with an Exercise Specialist year-round to learn the health benefits associated with walking. This group is good for anyone at any activity level and participants are encouraged to go at their own pace.
This group is very social and participants are encouraged to sign up with their family or friends (no pets). Everyone will be given a map of the neighbourhood to feel more comfortable.
What to bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Water
- A snack if needed
- Weather-appropriate clothing and footwear
- Walking poles if you like
- NO PETS—for everyone’s safety, pets will not be permitted to join the walking group
