This Early Prenatal class was developed to support anyone under 20 weeks into their pregnancy. This educational group highlights how to have a healthy pregnancy and encourages partners or support persons to join in.
During this course, participants will meet a number of clinical professionals to discuss important topics. This includes meeting:
- A Registered Nurse to learn an introduction to prenatal care, what to expect during appointments and common discomforts of pregnancy during this stage;
- A Registered Dietitian to dive into the importance of nutrition, including micronutrients like folic acid and calcium, how to have a balanced meal, and the myths of foods during pregnancy;
- An Exercise Specialist who will explain the role of physical activity during pregnancy, explore a way to get active and provide some recommendations.
